The Grottos Trail

Capitol Creek Trail

This one-of-a-kind trail offers two trails, one moderate and one difficult. The moderately scored Capitol Creek Loop is a 6.6-mile round trip and offers some of the most beautiful views in Aspen. The Capitol Lake Trail is a 12.8-mile round trip and offers tent camping for the more adventurous hikers. Ensure proper planning for this trip as you will need a 4×4 to access the trailhead and will lose cell service shortly down.

The Maroon Creek Course, part of the Maroon Creek Club, is a private course in Aspen. Rated the most difficult in the Aspen area, the 18-hole course has a par of 70 a slope rating of 140, and a course rating of 73.6.

The 18-hole Snowmass Course is part of the private Snowmass Club in Snowmass Village and delivers a 71.9 course rating. The par 72 course has a slope rating of 143 and is considered to be the easiest course in the Aspen area.
